Asteriscus aquaticus is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum viride, Lasioglossum collopiense, and Andrena mediovittata. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
