Farsetia aegyptia is a canescent, perennial shrub that reaches up to 30-60 cm high, with appressed forked hairs. Stems are erect, and much branched. Leaves are linear. Flowers are greyish or greenish-brown and are arranged in 5- to 10-flowered lax racemes. The fruit is a broadly-oblong silicula with winged seeds.
