They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Bahia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Paraná, Caatinga, ParaíBa, Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Cerrado, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Sergipe, Amazônia, Puerto Rico, Piauí, Espirito Santo, and Pará. They have broad leaves.
