They are native to Santa Catarina, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mata Atlântica, Piauí, Bahia, Sergipe, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, ParaíBa, Caatinga, Puerto Rico, Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Paraná, Pará, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Ceará. They have broad leaves.
