Hypopitys monotropa monotropa (Pinesap) is a subspecies of perennial herb in the family Ericaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Canada, Central America, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Two-spotted Bumblebee and Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 0.14 m.
