They are native to Pampa, Alagoas, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pernambuco, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Sul, Distrito Federal, Mata Atlântica, Piauí, Cerrado, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, GoiáS, Pantanal, Tocantins, and Bahia. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 0.26 m.
