Miconia albicans is a species of shrub in the family melastomes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Paraná, Amazônia, Pará, Distrito Federal, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Amapá, Bahia, Alagoas, ParaíBa, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Caatinga, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Ceará, Roraima, Cerrado, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Maranhao, Tocantins, Piauí, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, GoiáS, and Pernambuco. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 6.1 m.
