Myrcia guianensis (Red Rodwood) is a species of tree in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as endangered by IUCN. They are native to Pernambuco, Pará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, The Neotropics, Bahia, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, Puerto Rico, Acre (Brazil), Amapá, U.S. Virgin Islands, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, and Cerrado. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 6.8 m.
