Tapirira obtusa is a species of tree in the family Anacardiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso Do Sul, The Neotropics, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Pará, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, Bahia, GoiáS, Maranhao, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Amazônia, Minas Gerais, and Cerrado. They have compound, broad leaves and drupes. Individuals can grow to 20 m.
