Jacaratia spinosa is a species of tree in the family Caricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pernambuco, The Neotropics, ParaíBa, Maranhao, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Acre (Brazil), Rio De Janeiro, Amazônia, Amapá, Pará, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, Alagoas, Minas Gerais, GoiáS, RondôNia, and Bahia. They have broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 23 m.
