Veronica peregrina (American Speedwell) is a species of annual herb in the family Plantaginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and China. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Mordellistena aspersa, Holcopasites heliopsis, and Corimelaena pulicaria. Individuals can grow to 0.12 m.
