Borago officinalis (Common Borage) is a species of annual herb in the family Boraginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Anthophora quadrimaculata, Amegilla atrocincta, and Megachile sicula. Individuals can grow to 0.38 m.
