Impatiens capensis is a species of annual herb in the family Balsaminaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Western North America, Canada, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Bombus impatiens, Bombus vagans, Vespula maculifrons, and Euphyes conspicua. Individuals can grow to 4.9 feet.
