Asclepias syriaca (Common Milkweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Apocynaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Red Milkweed Beetle, Thecla edwardsi, Euvanessa, and Melanotus. Individuals can grow to 0.95 m.
