They are native to Maranhao, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, The Contiguous United States, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Paraná, Amazônia, Santa Catarina, Caatinga, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Espirito Santo, Cerrado, North America, Pará, Piauí, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, The Neotropics, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Minas Gerais, Acre (Brazil), and RondôNia. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
