They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Pará, Pernambuco, AmazôNia, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Cerrado, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, Piauí, North America, Rio De Janeiro, Pantanal, Caatinga, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, The Neotropics, RondôNia, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, GoiáS, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, and Espirito Santo. They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
