Ilex opaca is a species of tree in the family Aquifoliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, North America, Eastern North America, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by long-horned beetles, Bombus vagans, Bombus bimaculatus, and Apis mellifera. Individuals can grow to 40 feet.
