Saxifraga oppositifolia (Purple Mountain Saxifrage) is a species of perennial herb in the family Saxifragaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Alaska, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Greenland. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Arctoseius cetratus, Limnophyes brachytomus, Cecidophyes, and Thricops hirtulus. Individuals can grow to 0.049 m.
