Populus deltoides (Eastern Cottonwood) is a species of tree in the family Salicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Eastern North America, Western North America, North America, United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Andrena mandibularis, Mordellistena aspersa, Red-winged Blackbird, and Bellflower Resin Bee. Individuals can grow to 190 feet.
