Potamopyrgus antipodarum (New Zealand Mudsnail) is a species of snails in the family Tateidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to New Zealand. Dead New Zealand Mudsnail form shallow marine sediments. They are solitary, nocturnal detritivores. Individuals can grow to 6 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They have parental care (female provides care).
