Populus alba (White Poplar) is a species of shrub in the family Salicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Belarus, Algeria, Germany, Morocco, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Spain, Ukraine, Albania, Tunisia, China, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Austria, Russia, France, Yugoslavia, Turkmenistan, Italy, and Uzbekistan. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Egle concomitans. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
