Dicentra formosa (Pacific Bleeding Heart) is a species of perennial herb in the family Papaveraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Pipevine Swallowtail, Pale Swallowtail, California Bumble Bee, and Yellow Head Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 0.52 m.
