They are native to United States, The Contiguous United States, North America, Western North America, Alaska, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Vosnesensky Bumble Bee and Fuzzy-horned Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 7 feet.
