Cedrela fissilis (Cedar) is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix iii. They are native to Bahia, Tocantins, Pará, Maranhao, SãO Paulo, Amazônia, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, Ceará, Paraná, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Sul, Distrito Federal, RondôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, The Neotropics, Espirito Santo, Cerrado, GoiáS, and Acre (Brazil). They have compound, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 32 m.
