Cassia grandis is a species of tree in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mato Grosso Do Sul, Ceará, Pará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, The Contiguous United States, Sergipe, Mato Grosso, Distrito Federal, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, ParaíBa, Amapá, Rio De Janeiro, Maranhao, RondôNia, GoiáS, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Piauí, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Puerto Rico, Roraima, Pantanal, Cerrado, Paraná, and Alagoas. They have compound, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Nannotrigona perilampoides. Individuals can grow to 30 m.
