Melampodium leucanthum (Plains Blackfoot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and The Neotropics. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Scolia nobilitata, Halictus tripartitus, Gray Hairstreak, and Mitoura gryneus.
