Machaeranthera tanacetifolia (Tanseyleaf Tansyaster) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Diadasia rinconis, Common Sootywing, Checkered White, and Lyssavirus rabies. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
