Chaetoceros aequatorialis is a species of diatoms in the family Chaetocerotaceae. They are native to Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, SãO Paulo, Paraná, and Rio Grande Do Sul. Dead Chaetoceros aequatorialis form siliceous oozes.
