Acomys cahirinus (Cairo Spiny Mouse) is a species of rodents in the family murid rodents. They are native to Ethiopia and the Palearctic. They are nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 60 months and can grow to 43 mm. They have parental care (female provides care and cooperative breeding).
