Euterpe edulis (Assai Palm) is a species of tree in the family palms. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Paraná, Alagoas, GoiáS, Distrito Federal, ParaíBa, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, and Rio Grande Do Norte. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
