Description

Shrub, rarely a small tree. Leaves opposite, obovate to elliptic, up to 11 × 4 cm, fairly thinly textured, glossy dark green, midrib hairy on both surfaces when young; hairtuft domatia distinct. Flowers in 3 flowered clusters without stalks, white or greenish-cream. Fruit round, 3-6 mm in diameter, crowned with the remains of the calyx, red when ripe.
