Hemarthria altissima (Limpograss) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Pampa, Pantanal, Pará, Mato Grosso, Roraima, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and Rio Grande Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.43 m.
