Cyperus odoratus (Fragrant Flatsedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Cerrado, Pantanal, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, The Contiguous United States, Hawaii, Amazônia, Caatinga, Pampa, Puerto Rico, Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Mata Atlântica. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
