Prosthechea pygmaea (Dwarf Butterfly Orchid) is a species of perennial herb in the family orchids. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Puerto Rico, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, and The Contiguous United States.
