Bunchosia palmeri S. Wats. Proc. Am. Acad. 22 : 401. 1897 Leaf-blades oblong, elliptic, oval, or obovate, 8-17 cm. long, obtuse, acute, or abruptly short-acuminate, pale-green, glabrous above at maturity, permanently pubescent beneath, acute or obtuse at the base, short-petioled ; pedicels permanently pubescent ; sepals ovate, 3.5-4.5 mm. long, the glands about one half the length of the sepal-body ; larger petals 8-10 mm. long, the blades suborbicular, denticulate; ovary and style glabrous; drupe 2lobed, 1.5-2 cm. in diameter.
Type locality : Tequila, Jalisco. Distribution : Mexico.
