"The Catalogue of Diatom Names is a relational database of diatom names and publications, compiled by staff at the California Academy of Sciences. It includes a table of genus names, a table of species and infraspecific taxa names, and a table of publications. We have recorded basic nomenclatural information for each name such as authorship, place and date of publication, and nomenclatural status. We have personally verified over 50% of the entries".
