Peromyscus polius Osgood 1904

Peromyscus polius és una espècie de rosegador de la família dels cricètids. És endèmic del centre-oest de Chihuahua (Mèxic). Els seus hàbitats naturals són els boscos de coníferes i determinats matollars xeròfils. Està amenaçat per la desforestació i la mineria a cel obert practicada al seu àmbit de distribució.^[1] El seu nom específic, polius, significa 'gris' en llatí.^[2]

Peromyscus polius^[2][3] är en däggdjursart som beskrevs av Wilfred Hudson Osgood 1904. Peromyscus polius ingår i släktet hjortråttor och familjen hamsterartade gnagare.^[4][5] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som nära hotad.^[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.^[4]

Denna gnagare förekommer i bergstrakter i norra Mexiko i regioner som ligger 2100 till 2700 meter över havet. Arten lever i barrskogar och i buskskogar.^[1]
