Description: Geastrum lageniforme Cooke Image location: Cristalino Jungle Lodge, Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, Brazil Used references: Basidiomata with arachnoid aspect , exoperidium split into 6–8 long rays long, slender and with longitudinal ridges on the external layer of the rays, endoperidium blond ,sessile with concolor peristome, delimited by a whitish line, fibrillose, and the immature basidiomata being very umbonate points towards Geastrum lageniforme.
