Austropyrgus salvus is a species of minute freshwater snail with an operculum, an aquatic gastropod mollusc or micromollusc in the Hydrobiidae family. This species is endemic to southwestern Tasmania, Australia. It is known from the lower parts of the Franklin River and the upper parts of the Gordon River.[1]

Austropyrgus salvus is een slakkensoort uit de familie van de Hydrobiidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2003 door Clark, Miller en Ponder.
