Description: English: The scutellum (inside the circle) of the Coleoptera Scarabaeidae beetle Goliathus cacicus (Olivier 1789)
[1]. Goliathus cacicus, or the Goliath "opale", can exceed 90 mm in length. Obviously this is the maximum, because some of these coleoptera are only 40 mm. It depends on the conditions under which the larva has developed. The elytra of this Goliath has an opaque or pearly reflection that the illustration does not yet allow to copy completely. The Goliath "opale" lives in Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Guinea. in Africa. Date: 1849. Source:
