Perithecia minute, scattered, subepidermal, globose or subglobose, expanded above the epidermis into a disk-like ostiolum ; perithecia red, with the ostiolum lighter, whitish (in dried specimens), about 200 /^ in diameter; asci cylindric or clavate, 40-50X3-4//; spores 2-seriate, simple, hyaline, straight or curved, 5-6 X 1.5-2 //.
On stems of Opuntia sp.
Type locality: Tuskegee, Alabama.
Distribution : Known only from the type locality. '
