Agaricus pyrrhus Berk. & Curt. Jour. Linn. Soc. 10: 291. 1868.
Pileus sessile, conchiform, 1-3 cm. broad; surface glabrous, rufous; lamellae broad, concolorous; spores ferruginous, echinulate.
Type locality: Cuba.
Habitat: On decayed wood.
Distribution: Cuba, western Jamaica, and Guadeloupe.
