Diagnosis: head length 36.6-38.1 %SL; snout length 33.5-34.5 % head length; lower jaw length 33.5-34.5 % head length; outer oral teeth unicuspid; no inner oral tooth rows; premaxillary pedicel length 30.6-30.6 % head length; cheek depth 23.7-25.1 % head length; lachrymal depth 21.6-22.0 % head length; orbital width 41.5-42.9 % head width; lower pharyngeal dentition enlarged and molariform; body depth 38.8-39.6 %SL (Ref. 55898).Description: dorsal body profile more strongly curved than ventral body profile; snout moderately long, pointed but not angular; gape inclined at about 20° to horizontal; maxilla extending to or just beyond vertical at anterior margin of eye; outer oral teeth unicuspid, long and slender, with recurved tips; no inner oral teeth; 3 series of scales on cheek; eye relatively large; upper margin of eye touching dorsal head profile; lower pharyngeal jaw normal in shape; central posterior pharyngeal teeth enlarged and molariform; gill-rakers on lower limb fairly short and stout (Ref. 55898).Coloration: Preserved: Females: body beige; 6 faint vertical bars below dorsal fin, not extending onto belly; dorsal fin pale grey with dark tips; faint grey oblique bands on soft dorsal; all other fins pale yellowish (Ref. 55898).
