Aster (Aster) is a genus of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Serbia, Azerbaijan, Western Australia, San Marino, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Crimea, Albania, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Gruziya, Ukraine, The Contiguous United States, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, Channel Islands, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Armenia, Morocco, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Monaco, Macedonia, Canada, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Italy, Austria, Alaska, Bulgaria, France, Moldova, Belgium, Vatican City, Germany, Nakhchivan, and Poland. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Green Comma, Tricolored Bumble Bee, Red Admiral, and Fuzzy-horned Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 0.85 m.
