Rineloricaria eigenmanni[1] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it is known only from Venezuela, with its type locality being listed as near Sarare.[2] The species reaches 10.2 cm (4 inches) in standard length and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[3]
Rineloricaria eigenmanni appears in the aquarium trade, where it is sometimes known as the common whiptail catfish.[2]
