Description

Small multi-stemmed shrub, usually less than 2 m. Leaves subsessile, opposite, elliptic to obovate, 3-6 cm long, light green and hairy on both surfaces; margin entire. Flowers axillary, usually solitary, rarely in few-flowered clusters, 4-6 cm long, tubular, 2-lipped, orange-red, glandular-hairy on the outside.
