Sakagami and Tadauchi (1995) summarize the taxonomic data on this species and include it in tables comparing morphometric measurements of some Japanese and European Lasioglossum species. This species is 4.1 - 4.5 mm long and non-metallic brown and black. Its distribution is Western Paleartic, from England to Turkey, and from Sweden to the Sahara, also the Canary and Azores islands. No information on its social or nesting biology is presented.
