Plants annual, flaccid, ca. 1 m or more, glabrous. Stem prostrate or procumbent, nodes with few roots; branches erect, 10-20 cm. Leaves alternate; petiole 0.5-1 cm; leaf blade pale green abaxially, dark green adaxially, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 2-3 × 1-1.5 cm, lateral veins 5 or 6 pairs, base attenuate into petiole, margin serrulate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences in upper leaf axils, 1- or 2-flowered; peduncles shorter than or ca. as long as leaves. Pedicels 1-1.5 cm, slender, base or above middle with small bracts. Flowers golden-yellow, 1.5-2 cm. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate, subfalcate, 3-4 mm, thick, 3-veined, apex long cuspidate. Lower sepal navicular, limb ca. 1 cm deep, gradually narrowed into an incurved spur ca. 2 cm; mouth oblique, ca. 8 mm wide, tip acute. Upper petal orbicular, 8-10 mm in diam., apex retuse, abaxial midvein thickened, narrowly carinate; lateral united petals not clawed, ca. 1.7 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes subtetragonous, apex retuse; distal lobes obovate-oblong, ca. 2 × as large as basal lobes, apically retuse; auricle inflexed. Filaments short; anthers acute. Ovary fusiform. Capsule (immature) linear, ca. 1 cm. Fl. Sep.
