Plants glabrous. Stem erect; branches and branchlets erect or ascending, long, slender. Leaves alternate; petiole 1-5 cm, slender; leaf blade ovate, rarely oblong or orbicular, 5-9 × 2.5-3 cm, rigid, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, base rounded or acute, attenuate into petiole, margin coarsely crenate, teeth obtuse, apex acute or acuminate. Inflorescences 1-3-flowered; peduncles short, slender. Pedicels bracteate at middle; bracts ovate, very small, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, margin entire or denticulate, apex acuminate. Flowers yellow, ca. 2.5 cm wide. Lateral sepals 2, broadly ovate, rarely orbicular, 0.8-1 cm, apex acuminate, abaxial midvein narrowly carinate. Lower sepal funnelform, gradually narrowed into a spur; spur ca. as long as or longer than limb, stout, 2-lobed; mouth vertical, tip long acuminate. Upper petal orbicular, 2-2.2 cm in diam., apex truncate or rostellate, abaxial midvein narrowly cristate; lateral united petals ± clawed, ca. 2.8 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes ovate, apex acuminate, with a filamentous long hair; distal lobes dolabriform, ca. 2 × as long as basal lobes, apex rounded or with a seta; auricle inflexed, narrow. Filaments longer; anthers small, obtuse. Ovary fusiform. Capsule fusiform-cylindric. Seeds few, globose. Fl. and fr. unknown.
