Plants annual, ca. 60 cm tall, glabrous. Stem erect, branched in lower part; branches and branchlets erect. Leaves alternate; petiole 1-3 cm; leaf blade ovate, 4-7 × 3-3.5 cm, lateral veins 6 or 7 pairs, fine, base cuneate, attenuate into petiole, margin crenate or crenulate, teeth mucronulate, apex acute or acuminate. Inflorescences 1-3-flowered; peduncles very short. Pedicels short, bracteate at middle; bracts ovate, apex long mucronulate. Flowers ?white, small. Lateral sepals 2, broadly ovate-cordate, ca. 1 cm wide, membranous, apex acuminate, abaxial midvein cristate. Lower sepal funnelform or subsaccate, narrowed into a 2-lobed, long spur; mouth subvertical, ca. 1.5 cm. Upper petal orbicular, 1-1.5 cm, apex long aristate, abaxial midvein broadly cristate; lateral united petals 1.2-2.5 cm, long and broadly clawed, 2-lobed; basal lobes ovate, small, with a filamentous long hair; distal lobes narrowly or broadly dolabriform, very large, apex with long filamentous hairs; abaxial auricle inflexed.
