10-45 cm tall, pubescent. Branches erect. Leaves pubescent; lower petiolate; segments lanceolate, 2-3-lobed; upper leaves sessile, lanceolate, entire. Involucre of 5 linear, white, pubescent bracts. Rays 5-20, pubescent, up to 1.5 cm long. Involucel of 5-6 lanceolate to oval, white, pubescent bractlets, long mucronate. Petals white to rose coloured. Fruit ovoid, densely hairy; hairs 1-1.5 mm long, glochidiate; vittae solitary under the secondary ridges. Inner seed face plane.
