Herbs perennial, 70-75 cm tall. Stem brown crisped villous. Basal leaves caducous. Cauline leaves ca. 10, lanceolate-ovate or ovate to cordate, 1.6-5.1 × 1.1-2.4 cm, both surfaces and margin villous, base cordate, amplexicaul, apex shortly acuminate or acute; proximal leaves smaller, distal ones gradually larger, most proximal one caducous. Cyme ca. 14.5 cm, ca. 14-flowered; branches 5.5-6 cm, 1- or 2-flowered; pedicels 0.8-1.5 cm, brown glandular villous. Sepals spreading, ovate, 4.5-5 × 3-4 mm, brown glandular pilose abaxially, adaxially distally, and marginally, veins 5 or 6, confluent into a verruca at apex. Petals yellow, adaxially lilac spotted, orbicular or broadly elliptic to broadly obovate, 6.8-7 × 5.3-6.4 mm, not callose, ca. 7-veined, base contracted into a claw 0.5-0.7 mm, apex obtuse. Stamens ca. 5.9 mm. Ovary subsuperior, globose, ca. 4.2 mm in diam.; styles ca. 1.2 mm. Fl. Jul-Aug.
